City of Arco Planning and Zoning Arco Ordinance Title 17 – Chapter 17.46 Conditional Use Permits Application for Conditional Use – 420 S Idaho Street, Arco, ID

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

June 11, 2025 – 6:00 p.m., at Butte County Business Center, 159 N Idaho Street, Arco, Idaho.

AUTHORITY: In compliance with Section 17.46.040 notice is hereby given that the City of Arco Planning and Zoning has scheduled a public hearing to take comments about Conditional Use for a home business in the R1 zone.
The planning commission may, after notice and public hearing, permit Conditional Use within the R1 zone where such uses are deemed essential or desirable to the public convenience or welfare, and are harmonious with and in accordance the general objectives of the Arco Comprehensive Plan and the R1 Zone. The commission shall have the authority to impose such conditions and safeguards as it deems necessary to protect the best interests of the surrounding property or neighborhood from damage, hazard, nuisance or other detriment (17.48.020; 17.28.015).
PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULE: A public hearing concerning the Conditional Use Application is scheduled for June 11, 2025 – 6:00 p.m., at Butte County Business Center, 159 N Idaho Street, Arco, Idaho.
DESCRIPTIVE SUMMARY: A Conditional Use application has been received for the property at 420 South Idaho Street at the corner with Temple Avenue. The application seeks approval for storage of Lost River Gardens nursery supplies, plants, and nursery materials. The application also seeks approval to erect a wire deer fence around the property. No customer activity is planned at the property. Occasional delivery and removal of supplies to the property is planned.
WRITTEN COMMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED: Affected residents may submit written comments to the Arco City Office regarding this Conditional Use application. Written comments submitted to the City Office need to be received at least one day ahead of the public hearing.
