Notice of Public Hearing
Proposed Revisions for City of Arco Chapter 17 - Planning and Zoning Ordinance
April 2, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.

In compliance with Sections 50-901 and 50-902, Idaho Code, for Ordinances and City Codes, the City of Arco, Planning and Zoning Commission, will hold a public hearing to receive comments on proposed revisions to Arco Code, Title 17, Chapters 17.00 Zoning Chapters, 17.08 Zoning Map text, 17.12 Definitions, 17.16 General Provisions, 17.20 Agricultural A Zone, 17.24 Agricultural Transitional AT Zone, 17.28 Residence R1 Zone, 17.32 Residence R2 Zone, 17.36 Commercial C Zone, 17.40 Industrial I Zone, 17.48 Off Street Parking and Loading, and to add chapters 17.34 R3 Residential zone and 17.42 Public zone.
These revisions will update definitions, provide clarity, and add language for conditional permitting of motor vehicle cargo containers for accessory use, and to define public zone.
Copies of the revised chapters will be available for public inspection at the Arco City Office, 302 W. Grand Avenue, Arco, Idaho, on the Arco Municipal website, and upon request.
Prior to the hearing, residents of the City of Arco may submit written comments about the proposed Title 17 revisions to the Arco City Office. Written comments must be received in the City Office by 4:00 p.m. on April 1, 2025. Include your full name, city property address, and your mailing address. Any written comments carry the same weight as oral testimony taken at the public hearing.
The hearing is scheduled for April 2, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at the Butte County Business Center, 159 N. Idaho Street, Arco, Idaho.
